American Club of Coplay will host a dinner and tribute show to Elvis and Neil Diamond 7 p.m. Feb. 25.
The 2015 show featured an Elvis and a Roy Orbison tribute singer entertaining a large enthusiastic crowd. It was a sold-out event, and the upcoming show is expected to be just as popular.

Next on the St. John’s Lutheran Church’s social calendar is a congregational community dinner 4-6 p.m. Feb. 25, held in the church hall of the church, 18 S. Third St. The menu includes roast beef, filling, mashed potatoes, corn, creamed cabbage and desserts.

Borough property owners have now received their 2017 garbage assessment bills. According to Tax Collector Jeffry Deutsch, the discount period runs until March 31. The net amount can be paid by the end of May, and the penalty period begins June 1.
Seniors receive a break on the bill - paying $207 during the discount period.

Last week’s brief snowstorm, which blanketed the area, had a better-than-average response from residents, who moved their vehicles from borough streets to allow the crews to better plow the roads.
