Vienna waits for you:For “Viennese Nights,” 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 and 3 p.m. Feb. 12, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown, soprano Jessica Lennick, above, and the Allentown Symphony Orchestra perform “Mein Herr Marquis” (”My Lord Marquis”), known as “Adele’s Laughing Song,” and the “Czardas,” a dancing-song, “Klänge der Heimat” (”Sounds from Home”) from Strauss’s ”Die Fledermaus.” The Bel Canto Children’s Chorus of the Bach Choir of Bethlehem performs the “Tristch-Trastsch Polka” (“Chit-Chat Polka”) and the “Sängerlust Polka” (‘The Joy of Singing”), both by Strauss. “Meet the Artist” with Allentown Symphony Artistic Director-Conductor Diane Wittry, pianist Katie Mahan, soprano Jessica Lennick and Allentown Symphony Conducting Fellow Toru Tagawa, noon Feb. 10, Miller Symphony Hall. Work it:“9 to 5 The Musical” stomps into Civic Theatre of Allentown, Feb. 10 - 26. The musical is based on the 1980 movie of the same title, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and a book by Patricia Resnick based on the screenplay by Resnick and Colin Higgins. The musical opened on Broadway in April 2009 and received four Tony nominations. The Civic production, directed by Civic Theatre Artistic Director William Sanders, stars Jan Labellarte, above left; Nina Elias, above right; Kathlleen Oswalt and Robert Trexler.
