Hilda (Herman) Gaffney, 86, died Jan. 22, 2017, at her residence in Fountain Hill.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Kramer) Herman.

She was a seamstress at several garment mills.

She was a member of St. Ursula Catholic Church, Fountain Hill.

She is survived by four children, Mary and her husband Michael Kordek of Salisbury Township, John and his wife Joanne Gaffney of Orefield, Mark and his wife Cathy Caffney of Cloudcroft, N.M., and Rita and her husband Ted Fritz of Allentown; and eight grandchildren, Caitlin and her husband Joseph VII Linsenmann, Jeremy, David, Kelley, Cathleen, Kyle, Jayce and Maison.

She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Eberhardt; and a brother, Frank Herman.
