Martin W. Lorish, 72, of Alburtis, died Feb. 1, 2017, at home. He was the husband of Miriam D. (Geist) Lorish for 48 years last April. Born in Berks County, he was a son of the late Thomas and Clara (Hillegas) Lorish.

He was a supervisor for Cross Creek Apparel for several years and went on to work with his son at Lorish Lawncare, in Mt. Airy, N.C., before retiring several years ago.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Kimberly A. and her husband Keith Mickley, of Kutztown; son, Brian A. and wife Cynthia, of Ararat, N.C.; brothers, Paul and his wife Vivian, Raymond and his wife Linda and Sidney and his wife Joyce; sisters, Marguerite and her husband Allen Hobert, Joan Egolf and Dianne Gouldner; step-grandchildren, Brittany and Blake Kornbrust; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Marvin.
