• Memorial service in partnership with Catasauqua American Legion Post 215 honoring The Immortal Chaplains, 4 p.m. (a light reception will follow), at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, Catasauqua. This interfaith service will honor four U.S. Army chaplains who gave their lives to save other civilian and military personnel as the Troop Ship SS Dorchester sank Feb. 3, 1943, during World War II.

• Northampton Area School District’s Adult Community Education programs begin, held in the evenings, at various school district buildings. Classes offered are quilting, knitting, crocheting, multilevel adult yoga (now Tuesdays), family yoga, water aerobics (Tuesday and Thursday evenings), lap swim, guitar I, guitar II, indoor spinning and men’s basketball. The courses are offered on a prepay or pay-as-you-go basis.
