Robert W. Sell, 91, of Allentown, died Jan. 27, 2017 at home.

He was the husband of the late Miriam E. (Riegel) Sell.

Born in Guthsville, he was a son of the late Charles F.F. and Katie M. (Kressley) Sell.

For 50 years, he worked for the former Schantz Orchards, where he had numerous jobs, including equipment operator, before retiring in 1990.

A former Assistant Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 72, he also was a manager of the Little League at Parkland Youth Center.

He was a 32nd degree Mason of Lehigh Consistory, Lehigh Lodge 326 F.&A.M., the Siegfried Chapter, and Allen Commandry 20, all for 60 years.

A member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Trexlertown, where he served on church council for eight years, he also volunteered at the Allentown Food Bank.

He was a loving caregiver for his wife for many years.

His survivors include a son Glenn R. and wife, Gail, of Allentown; daughter-in-law Sandra Sell of Hellertown; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Mildred and Sharon Sell.

He was predeceased by a son, Robert, and brothers, Charles Wetzel, Frederick, LeRoy and Sterling Sell.
