Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is hosting Wild Beginnings for kids 18 months to age 3 and their parent 9:30-11 a.m. Feb. 6.

This program will encourage parents to explore nature with their child through interactive activities and nature play.

Participants will meet ambassador animals, reflect in nature and be inspired to create nature play in their own backyard.

With each fee paid for a child, one adult is admitted free.

The Zoo will be hosting Corks and Canvas Paint a Palomino Horse 6-8 p.m. Feb. 23 in the Bison Room.

Doors open 5:30 p.m.

Canvas and all art supplies are included in the nonrefundable per person fee.

All participants will receive a photo of one of the Zoo’s palomino horses.

Bring your own favorite wine and snacks.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is having a hoagie sale with ingredients supplied by Thomson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.

Choices include regular, with or without peppers or onions, ham and cheese, turkey, roast beef, tuna or veggie.

Deadline to order is Feb. 12. Pickup will be 4-6 p.m. Feb. 21 at the church.
