Anthony J. Polce

Anthony J. Polce, 86, of Macungie, died Jan. 27, 2017, in Country Meadows, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Marie A. (Acocella) Polce. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was a son of the late Gaetano and Filomena (T’Imperia) Polce.

He worked for Mack Trucks 26 years, retiring as tax director in 1992.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Korean Conflict.

He was an avid reader, loved to fish, garden, cook and bake. He enjoyed summers at the beach in Delaware but most importantly spending time with his family.

He is survived by sons, Guy A., of Allentown and Michael F. and his wife Audrey J., of Macungie; daughter, Carmelan and her husband Derek Kidley, of Singapore; grandchildren, Liesel Kidley and Aiden. He was predeceased by a brother Louis and sister, Mary Pagano.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Feb. 3 in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave. Call 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 2 in the Stephens Funeral Home Inc., 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 3 in the church.
