Annabell M. Merkle

Annabell M. Merkle, 87, of Krumsville, died Jan. 23, 2017, surrounded by loved ones, her companion, Forrest, and caregiver Kadie.

She was the widow of Harold L. Merkle, who died in 2007.

Born in Lynn Township, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Lillian (Fenstermaker) Holben.

She was employed at Albright’s Mill and General Store, Kempton, for 25 years before retiring in 1996.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, (Seiberlingsville), Kempton.

She was also a member of the Kempton Fire Company.

Her survivors include sisters, Roma K., wife of Kermit Loch, of New Tripoli, Eleanor L., widow of Sterling Snyder, and Shirley M. wife of Ronald K. “Butch” Wessner, all of Kempton; nephews and nieces Edward and Roger Snyder, Sandra Davidson, Carol Loch, Ernest, Marlin, Rodney and Larry Holben and Gary Wessner; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and her loving companion Forrest Merkel.

She was predeceased by brothers Allen and Larry Holben.
