Valeria “Val” T. Flyte, 79, of The Lutheran Community at Topton and formerly of Fullerton, died Jan. 24, 2017. She was the wife of Stanley N. Flyte for 43 years.

Born in Salisbury Township, she was a daughter of late Elek and Teresa R. (Shiner) Takacs.

She was a 1955 graduate of Fountain Hill High School.

She was a beautician in Salisbury Township. She was later an assistant manager of the salon at JCPenney.

She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fullerton, where she was an usher, assisted in the kitchen and was a Bible school teacher.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Melissa and her husband Brian Horvath; a son, Dean and his wife Sheri; a daughter, Dawn Stenlake; six grandchildren; and a sister, Theresa R. Takacs of Allentown.

She was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte E. Takacs.
