Robert “Mac” J. Eder, 78, of Whitehall, died Jan. 23, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Theresa M. (Dulik) Eder.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Celia M. (Nickisher) Eder.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He was retired from the maintenance department of Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He was a member of Local 670 Plumbers Union, Lehigh Valley Trapshooting League, North End Rod and Gun Club of New Tripoli, National Rifle Association and American Trap Shooters Association.

He is survived by a sister, Barbara Turner of Schnecksville; two brothers, Joseph and his wife Sharlet Eder of Schnecksville and James Eder of Coplay; nieces; and nephews.
