Herman A. Kramer

Herman A. Kramer, 90, of Hellertown and formerly of Whitehall, died Jan. 22, 2017, at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. He was the husband of the late Grace E. (Hartung) Kramer.

Born in Stony Run, he was a son of the late John B. and Clistie M. (Frey) Kramer.

He was an installer/field worker for the former Western Electric, Allentown, for 30 years until he retired in 1981.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Egypt, where he was, for many years, on church council, a member of the maintenance committee and was a head usher for 35 years.

He was a treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 59, Egypt, for 41 years; and a member of the Egypt Memorial Park Board for 40 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Renee L. and her husband Kim Beidleman of Northampton and Carol and her husband Charles Wolfe of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; two sons, Russell and his wife Karen Kramer of Whitehall and Kevin and his wife Linda Kramer of Phoenixville; nine grandchildren, Brad, Ross and Todd Beidleman, Monica Wolfe, Alissa Rosell, Ryan Kramer, Kristy Gessner and Arron and Shane Kramer; his companion, Marie E. Kemmerer of Hellertown; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Melvin J.
