Charles M. Anderson, 80, formerly of Pittsburgh and the Poconos, died Jan. 26, 2017, in Whitehall. He was the husband of the late Margaret E. Anderson.

Born in Bellevue, he was a son of the late Arthur D. and Gertrude M. (Warne) Anderson.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from California State Teachers College and a master’s equivalency in education.

He was an industrial arts teacher in the Pocono Mountain School District for 25 years.

He was a member of Barger Lodge 325, F. & A.M.

He is survived by a son, Stephen and his wife Sherry Anderson; a daughter, Karen L. and her husband Craig Croteau; a brother, Arthur D. Anderson; a sister, Mary and her husband Russel Kloess; three grandchildren, Charles Anderson and Collette and Julia Croteau; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, William.

There will be a calling hour 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service 10:30 a.m., both Feb. 18 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, 18032.
