Clement M. Balon, 82, of Allentown, died Jan. 20, 2017, at home.
He and his wife Barbara (Wishneski) Balon would have been married for 59 years next month.
Born in Marion Heights, he was the son of the late Frank and Jean (Surak) Balon.
Chief X-Ray technician at the former Allentown Osteopathic Hospital for 20 years, he was a private IV therapist for a private clinic for 15 years.
He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 231 and VFW Post 8354, Kulpmont.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Michael P. and wife, Linda, of San Diego, Calif.; daughters Lorriane A. Balon and husband, Robert Donaldson, of Hershey, and Helen J. Shimandle and husband, Frank, of Carlisle; sister Adrienne Dorsie of Houston, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
