Charles R. Lellyo, 83, of Bethlehem, died Jan. 18, 2017, in the home of his daughter, Diane, in Wallingford, Delaware County.

He was the husband of the late Mary L. (Laudenslager) Lellyo.

Born June 20, 1933, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Michael and Theresa (Horvath) Lellyo.

A graduate of Temple University, he earned a Master’s degree in education and completed his undergraduate work at Moravian College.

He was a boiler operator at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 40 years before retiring in 1992.

He was a member of St. John’s Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, and Masonic Lodge 283, F.&A.M.

His survivors include a daughter Diane L., wife of Robert H. Wright, of Wallingford; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Michael A. and a sister Mary Klepper.
