John J. Stoffey Jr., 95, of Whitehall, died Jan. 13, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Helen A. (Ridnick) Stoffey for 36 years.

Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late John J. Sr. and Anna A. (Gavalla) Stoffey.

He was a millwright at Western Electric Company, Allentown for 23 years, retiring in 1985.

A World War II veteran, he served as a corporal in the 388th Bomb Group, 8th Army Air Force.

He was a member of American Legion Post 739, Hokendauqua.

He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.

He is survived by a daughter, Cathyann and her husband John J. Feher III of Orefield; three grandsons, John IV, Steven and Lucas; and two brothers, William of Toms River, N.J., and USMC Col. (ret.) Robert of Carlsbad, Calif.
