With the District 11 basketball postseason roughly a month away, the introduction of the six class structure presents some changes to the boys format this year.

The biggest change, just like in football, is that more teams will get an opportunity to participate in the PIAA tournament, as this year boys field will advance 17 teams.

The tournament gets underway on Feb. 21.

Listed below is a breakdown of each class and as a quick reminder, in order to qualify for the postseason, teams must compile a .500 record in their overall record or a .500 record in their league record.

However, the opportunity for below .500 teams to qualify for districts is there if the minimum number of playoff spots in a class is not reached.

Also, in Class 4A, 3A and 1A, District 11 teams will be mixed with schools from District 1 and District 2.
