Phyllis R. Bobbin, 85, formerly of Florence, S.C., died Jan. 9, 2017, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall.

Born in Nanticoke, Luzerne County, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Josephine (Hozlock) Bobbin.

She worked in various jobs within the manufacturing industry throughout her life.

When she moved to South Carolina, she spent several years working with children.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Her survivors include sister-in-law Elizabeth Bobbin of Allentown; nieces and nephews Terry Bobbin and his wife, Patricia of North Carolina, Scott Bobbin and his wife, Amanda of Arizona, Bryan Bobbin and his wife, Brenda of Boyertown, Kathy Troxell and her husband, Carey of Slatington, Patti Hutchinson of Allentown.
