South Whitehall Township police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred 12:30 a.m. Jan. 12 at the 15th Street A Plus Mini Mart, 1501 Mauch Chunk Road, South Whitehall.

Police say three masked individuals armed with handguns entered the mini mart, assaulted the store clerk and took cash and various items.

The suspects were dressed in dark clothing and were seen arriving and departing the location on foot, police say.

South Whitehall Township police were assisted by Allentown Police and their K-9.
