LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Whitehall library: Adult coloring club meets on Tuesday

At 11 a.m. Jan. 24, Whitehall Township Public Library will hold an adult coloring club. This is going to be a year-round program that meets every fourth Tuesday of the month. Anyone 18 and older is welcome to attend.

The library has some books, pencils and markers but invites you to bring your own as well.

Our What Are You Reading Now? book club will meet 1 p.m. Jan. 24. The club meets the fourth Tuesday of every month. Patrons are invited to chat about whatever books they are reading at the moment - the ones you loved, the ones you hated and everything in between.

We have been having some lively discussions the past few months!

Sign up today for our adult winter reading program that began Jan. 16 and runs until March 25. The theme this year will be “Reading in Paradise.” Stop by the front desk to register to get your pen, bookmark and 2017 calendar.

This year’s adult winter reading program will be a little different. There will be extra points for completing the game board and for reading books that have keywords dealing with the theme “Reading in Paradise.” Keep track of all the books you read and win prizes!

The wrap-up party will be 1 p.m. and/or 6 p.m. March 27.

Think warm, tropical islands this winter in Pennsylvania!

See the handout at the desk for additional information.

Do you have a hobby or a collection you would like to share with us? Do you collect dolls, glasses or cups, woodworking, cars, old toys, etc.? The library has three display cases that lock, and monthly displays are needed.

Pick up a display case form at the desk. You could use one case or all three, depending on the collection.

Are you looking for a way to help your library? Here is a wish list of items: gift cards to any store, art supplies, colored printer paper and birdseed.
