Rayjond H. Shive, 78, of Wescosville, formerly of Lansdale, died Jan. 5, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the life-partner of Lois A. Albright for the past 26 years. Born in Lansdale, he was a son of the late Phares A. and Ruth (Emert) Shive and a stepson of the late Louise G. Shive.
He was a graduate of North Penn High School, Lansdale and a U.S. Army veteran,
He was a machinist, then a computer programmer for the machinists at the defense company, AEL in Colmar for many years, retiring in 2005.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lansdale.
He enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the L.V. B&B’s Square and Round Dance Club. He loved to travel, go fishing and be outdoors, especially on the water. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and was a flagman and timer at drag races.
He is survived by his life-partner and her sons, Joe Kudla and his wife Deborah, of Lehighton and Brian Albright and his wife Amy, of Charlotte, N.C.; son, Raymond J. “Randy,” of Telford; brothers, Richard and his wife Lorie, Bill, all of Lansdale; stepsister, Edith St. Clair, of Tunkhannock; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert.
