Nevin “Butch” L. Holderman, 70, of Northampton, died Jan. 6, 2017, at home. He was the husband of Theresa B. (Jackson) Holderman for 51 years.

Born in Rockdale, he was a son of the late George Holderman Sr. and Pauline (Schneck) Holdeman.

He worked several jobs in the Lehigh Valley until he retired.

He was a stock car racer at Dorney Park and Mahoning Valley speedways.

He was a volunteer fireman and a life member of Hokendauqua Fire Company. He was a member of Sons of the Legion of Fred Snyder Post 353, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Roseann and her husband David Johnson, Paulette and her husband Ronald Helman and SherryAnn and her husband Michael Perl; a son, Nevin A. and his wife Suzanne Holderman; three brothers, George and his wife Brenda Holderman, David Holderman and Herman and his wife Teri Holderman; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan, Ronald, Benjamin, Michael, Paul, Sydney and Elizabeth; and three great-grandchildren, Trynity, Lily and Joseph.
