Muriel C. Diefenderfer, 91, of Bath, died Jan. 1, 2017, at her home. She was the wife of the late Richard M. Diefenderfer.

She was a daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude (LeFevre) McCafferty.

She was the co-owner and operator, along with her husband, of the former Bath Hotel for 45 years until she retired in 2005. She was a teletypist at The Morning Call, Allentown.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon A. and her husband Guy Tamandl of Bath; a sister, Lois and her husband Charles Harris of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons.
