Lloyd D. Gantz, 87, formerly of Schnecksville, died Jan. 2, 2017, in Shartlesville. He was the husband of Frances L. (Muthard) Gantz for 65 years.
Born in Ironton, he was a son of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Schmoyer) Gantz.
He was a superintendent for Lafarge Cement Company, formerly Whitehall Cement Company, Cementon, for 18 years until he retired in 1989. He worked previously at the former Giant Portland Cement Company, Egypt.
He was a member of Egypt Community Church, Whitehall Township, and Copeechan Fish and Game Club, Schnecksville.
A 32 degree Mason, he was a member of Chapman Lodge No. 627 F&AM, Northampton, Lehigh Consistory-Valley of Allentown and of the Rajah Shrine, Reading.
He attended Grundsau Lodsch Nummer 1, on da Lecaw, Northampton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Marcia R. and her husband Jeffrey Wink, with whom he resided; three grandchildren, Travis, Briel and Shawn; two sisters, Mary Ann and her husband Gordon Williams of Spring Mills and Joanne Jalowiecki of Allentown; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Eileen R.; two sisters, Fern Muthard and Dolores Wotring; and two brothers, LeRoy and Leonard Gantz.
