John Winston Ritter, of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, formerly of Emmaus, died Dec. 26, 2016. He was the husband of Nancy (Lichtenwalner) Ritter. They had resided in Mexico for the past six years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Winston R. Ritter and Sandra Ritter Polinchok.

He graduated from Emmaus High School in 1965 and Bethlehem Business College in 1967.

He was vice president and treasurer of Ritter Furniture and co-owner of The Main Street Gallery, Inc., both in Emmaus.

He was previously a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Alburtis, where he served as a Sunday School teacher, youth fellowship advisor, choir member and church treasurer. He was a member of Resurrection Worship Center, Allentown, prior to moving to Puerto Vallarta in 2010 where he was a member of the P.V. men’s chorus.

He enjoyed gardening and walking through town, meeting and talking to people. He will be missed by many.
