Jerry L. Binder Sr., 57, of Lehighton, died Dec. 31, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Susan A. (Follweiler) Binder for 36 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late George W. and Mildred E. (Wieand) Binder of Lehigh Township.

He was a welder for L & M Fabrication, Bath, and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryvile.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Richard A. and his wife Carleen V. Binder of Slatington and Jerry L. Jr. and his wife Jessica R. Binder of Lehighton; a daughter, Holly A. Carr of Walnutport; a brother, Randall G. of Whitehall; a sister, Patricia M. and her husband Daniel H. Neff of Walnutport; and eight grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Dennis A. Binder.
