Harold E. Klose, 86, of Lower Macungie Township, died Dec. 31, 2016. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Snook) Klose. They were married more than 65 years. Born in Lewisburg, he was the son of the late A. Blaine and Edith (Albright) Klose.

In 1948 he graduated from Mifflinburg High School, and Penn State University in 1956 after serving in the Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus and was on the church council and chairman of the finance committee.

He was a certified public accountant, retiring in 2009.

He is survived by his wife; children, Jennifer and her husband Tim Sandruck, Jonathan, Amy, Patricia and her husband John Chapman, George and his wife Connie; grandchildren, Bridgette Klose and her partner Adam Joelsson, Jacob and Matthew Sandruck, Jane and Taylor Chapman, Rachael and Alex Klose; great-grandson, Liam Joelsson. He was predeceased by a son, Harold “Buddy” E. Jr.
