Emmaus’ Kachelries brothers combined for 47 to lead the Hornets to a 77-61 win over Whitehall.

Matt Kachelries led the way with 27 points, including five three-pointers. David Kachelries and Zach Sabl added 20 points for the Hornets (7-1 overall, 5-0 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference).

Whitehall (8-2, 4-1) was led by Logan McGinley and Devin Martinez with 14 points each.

SWIMMING

Salisbury-Whitehall

The Zephyrs swept the Falcons in a nonleague meet.

Whitehall’s girls won 110-58, while the boys team beat Salisbury 92-70 despite some stellar perfomances by the Falcons.

In the girls meet, Whitehall’s Martha Giletto and Steph Setar each won two individual events, while Sarah Bobeck was the only winner for Salisbury.

In the boys meet, the Falcons’ Daniel Bonge and Mahlon Reihman set Whitehall pool records. Bonge swam the 100-yard backstroke in 56.40 and Reihman touched the wall in 48.46 seconds in the 100 freestyle. Both won two individual events at the meet.

Whitehall’s Jordan Rivera won both his individual events while swimming on two winning Zephyr relay teams.
