Ludwig Karner, 75, of Coplay, died Dec. 24, 2016, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Bodisch) Karner for 53 years.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Ludwig Sr. and Mary (Kanyuk) Karner.

He was a graduate of Coplay High School and Bethlehem Business School.

He was a business law and IBM keyboard instructor at Bethlehem Business School until its closing. He was later a billing clerk at PPL, Allentown, for several years until he was disabled by a stroke.

He was formerly a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Catholic Church, North Catasauqua.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brian L. and Patrick J., both of Coplay; a sister, Alice Groso of Idaho; and a brother-in-law, Ed and wife Marlene Bodisch of Whitehall.

He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Ann; grandparents, Charles and Anna Kanyuk; and in-laws, Edward and Helen Bodisch.
