Dana J. Schmall, 69, of Coplay, died Dec. 28, 2016, at home. He was the husband of Linda J. (Foster) Schmall for 49 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Lucille J. (Kidd) Schmall.

He was a 1965 graduate of Parkland High School.

He was a machinist’s mate second class in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era.

He was a self-employed truck driver.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, David S. and his wife Robin of Slatington, Michael T. and his wife Loretta of Orefield and Dean T. and his wife Doris of Coplay; six grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, Amanda, Daniel, Victoria and Matthew; a sister, Robin and her husband Edward Swartley of Cape Coral, Fla.; and a niece.
