Dr. Bruce A. Frankenfield, 84, died Dec. 26, 2016.

He was a son of the late Clyde S. and Marie B. (Faulkner) Frankenfield.

He was a graduate of Catasauqua High School, Lehigh University and University of Pennsylvania Medical School. His residency was at Geisinger Memorial Hospital, Danville, and his internship at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, where he remained until his retirement.

He was in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He practiced internal medicine with Hamilton Internists Association.

He was a member of Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua.

He was a member of many medical societies and supported many charitable causes.

He is survived by two cousins, Irene Heiland of Coopersburg and William D. Faulkner of Catasauqua.

He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth M. Frankenfield.
