LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

FALCON INSIDER

As students and staff enjoy their winter break over the next few days, activities and events are far and few between.

After winter break is over things will pick back up again, but for now Salisbury High School students and staff are winding down and enjoying a few days off.

Just before students left for break, try-outs for the spring musical “Seussical The Musical” were held as auditioning students were asked to perform a few select songs from the show. The show is based on the beloved books of Dr. Seuss many people know and love, which started on Broadway and features songs and characters from some of Seuss’s famous books including (but are not limited to) “Horton Hears a Who!”, “The Cat in the Hat” and “Green Eggs and Ham.”

There is an operations committee meeting at the administration building 7 p.m. Jan. 9, 2017. Topics such as budgets and summer projects are discussed. Salisbury residents and parents are encouraged to attend meetings and give their input.

The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club is still holding the sale of navy blue hats and magnets, great for showing Salisbury spirit. Items can be purchased through emailing cpennella@salibury.org or at the SHS athletic office or the main offices at Salisbury Middle School, Western Salisbury Elementary School or Harry S Truman Elementary School. There are still some items so make sure you get yours before they run out.

The next SAT test date is Jan. 21, 2017. Only late registration is available either by mail Jan. 3, 2017 or by phone/online Jan. 10, 2017. The next test date is March 11, 2017.

More information and details on SAT testing dates can be found on the school website, www.stsd.org, click on the high school and on the guidance tab.

Until next time Salisbury, stay warm and enjoy the holidays!
