Concert, lecture added to State Theatre season

The State Theatre Center for the Arts has announced that two shows have been added to its 90th season lineup with both shows benefiting the theater and taking place in the Acopian Ballroom.

Forlorn Strangers and Blue Jean perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the Acopian Ballroom.

“90 Years of State Theatre History,” with historian Ken Klabunde, will be presented at 6:30 p.m. March 19 in the Acopian Ballroom. The Easton Middle School Jazz Band will perform.

Forlorn Strangers is a Nashville-based Americana quintet of five songwriters, including former Lehigh Valley resident Jesse Thompson. Since 2013, Forlorn Strangers has released two EPs, “While the Grass Grows” and “American Magic Tricks,” and has toured across the United States.

Blue Jean was formed in 2009 by singer-guitarist Chris Hallett and bassist Dustin Schoof. The band’s debut album, “Goodnight Tonight,” was released in 2011, and “Alchemy,” was released in October 2014.
