The new year offers a lot of exciting things at Suburban North Family YMCA, 880 Walnut St. New this year, they are collaborating with Wildlands Conservancy and will offer fun and educational programs. The first program to be held is family snowshoeing. If snow is provided by Mother Nature, the YMCA then will provide you with equipment and instruction for a one-hour winter wonderland trek! You can register as a family, couple or individual.
A sneak peak of winter 2017 fitness classes at the YMCA will be held the week of Jan. 2. Try a class for free before you register! Select from yoga, Latin aerobics, boot camp, RIPPED, Insanity Live, Tabata, PiYo, Country Sweat and indoor cycling. Check out the website or the Facebook page for details on the classes.
Join the YMCA Jan. 7 for an open house filled with tours, sample classes and staff on-site to answer any questions from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Call 610-264-5221 or visit greatervalleyymca.org with questions on any of these events.
