Bernice B. Burkhardt, 85, of Fogelsville, died on Dec. 22, 2016, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown.

She and her husband Robert E.A. Burkhardt celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in October.

Born June 29, 1931, in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Edna (Green) Hite.

She was a presser at the former Allen Laundry, Allentown.

Bernice was a member of Hope Community Church, Fogelsville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Alan D. and his wife, Diane, of Allentown; grandson Colton M. and step-grandson, Gregory T. Meilinger; brothers Raymond, Jr. and his wife, Amelia, and Robert and his wife, Dorothy, all of Germansville, James and his wife, Monica, and Clarence, all of Allentown; sister Nancy, wife of Mike Zahradnik, of Allentown; nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Eddie.
