Swimmers split with the Red Rovers

The Whitehall swim teams split two, very close matches against Easton last week.

The girls won 87-83 while the boys fell 86-82.

Steph Setar and Michaela Hendricks helped to pave the way for the girls as they collected two individual wins each. Setar captured the 50 free in 26.04 and the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.88. Meanwhile, Hendricks won the 200 free in 2:29.22 and also took the 500 free with a time of 6:00.16.

Kallie Lyle was the other individual winners for the Zephs, taking the 100 free with a winning time of 1:00.95.

The girls 400 relay team of Martha Giletto, Hendricks, Corrine Deichmeister and Lyle touched first with a time of 4:12.49.

On the boys side, Danny Jablonsky and Jordan Rivera were double winners despite the team loss. Jablonsky won the 200 IM in 2:10.48 and also the 100 free in 51.28. Rivera took the 200 free in 1:58.69 and also the 100 breast in 1:05.71.

The Zephs had two relay teams take first. The 200 medley team was made up of Jablonsky, Rivers, Sabastian Solarte and Ziyad Khafagy and had a winning time of 1:47.86. The 400 free relay team was made up of Jablonsky, Solarte, Khafagy and Rivera and had a winning time of 3:35.12.
