Ralph W. Dietrich

Ralph W. Dietrich, 90, formerly of New Tripoli, died Dec. 15, 2016, in Lifequest Nursing Center, Quakertown.

He was the loving husband of the late Marie J. (Kincher) Dietrich for 53 years.

Born in Lynnville, he was a son of the late William and Mary (Fetherolf) Dietrich.

A 1944 graduate of Slatington High School, he was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Sellersville.

He was a lifelong dairy farmer in New Tripoli, Lynn Township, from 1955 to retirement in 1994, during which time he held offices or membership in the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, American Farm Bureau Federation, Penn State Extension, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania Holstein Association, Holstein Association USA, Select Sire Power, Lehigh Valley Cooperative Farmers, Lehigh Valley Dairy, and the Lynnport Fire Company.

Devoted to service in the church community, he served on the board of deacons at the then Jacob’s Lutheran Church, Jacksonville, and held charter membership at Northern Valley Evangelical Free Church, New Tripoli, and Hope Community Church, Fogelsville.

Family life was high priority as he had an incredible love for his children and grandchildren, and was the happiest when family was altogether.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a brother Russell K. Dietrich, and sister Marie K. (Dietrich) Sweigert.

Services will be at Jacob’s Church, 8387 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, with the Rev. Scott L. Shay and Rev. Rob Campbell officiating.
