Whitehall library: Library board, staff wish patrons a very merry Christmas

The library board and staff would like to wish all of our patrons a very blessed and happy Christmas season. We look forward to lots of new books, movies, books on CD and DVD, and programs in 2017!

Thank you for all of your support and making this a “community library”!

To download your Dec. 3 pictures with Santa, go to our website, whitehallpl.org, and click on the Smug Mug Gallery link. There you will find your pictures. Click on the download button to print or email the pictures. Follow the directions, or you can ask the staff for help.

The library will be closed Dec. 24-26 for the Christmas holiday. Also, we will close early - 1 p.m. - Dec. 31 and will be closed Jan. 1 and 2 for the New Year holiday.

Happy 2017 to all!

At 11 a.m. Dec. 27, join us for our adult coloring club. The club meets every fourth Tuesday of the month. Anyone 18 and older is welcome to join us.

The library has some supplies but invites you to bring your own as well.

Our What Are You Reading Now? book club will meet 1 p.m. Dec. 27. The club meets every fourth Tuesday of every month. Patrons are invited to chat about whatever books they are reading at the moment - the ones you loved, the ones you hated and everything in between.

We have been having some lively discussions the past few months!

The library is sending out a fundraising letter to supplement our income. With the additional funds raised, we can continue to provide programs for all ages, public access computers, Wi-Fi, downloadable resources and additional research resources.

Some folks have received this letter in the mail already. There is a link on our website, or you can pick up a copy at the front desk, too. The funds are used to maintain your library as one of the premier libraries in the Lehigh Valley.

Please help us by contributing any amount to Whitehall Township Public Library.

Do you have a hobby or a collection, such as dolls, glasses or cups, woodworking, cars, old toys, etc., you would like to share with us? The library has three locked display cases to showcase your collection.

Pick up a display case form at the desk. You could use one case or all three, depending on the collection.

Are you looking for a way to help your library? Here is a wish list of items: gift cards (any store), art supplies, colored printer paper and bird seed.

See information in our newsletter or on website, whitehallpl.org. Copies of the newsletter are available at the front desk as well. For other information, call the library at 610-432-4339.
