WESTERN SALISBURY COLUMN Early dismissal planned for Dec. 23

I cannot believe Christmas is almost here and 2016 is just about over. What a year it has been. Some good, some bad, some heartwarming and some annoying. What is your favorite memory of 2016?

The last week of school in 2016 brings early dismissals.

On Dec. 23, Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss 12:15 p.m. and both elementary schools will dismiss 1 p.m.

The kindergarten students from Western Salisbury Elementary School will go on a field trip to the Liberty Bell museum Dec. 21. I wonder if Pip the Mouse will be there?

SHS’s No Place For Hate Chapstick® fundraiser is almost over. There are five different flavors to choose from: Cherry Berry, Cake Frosting, Mango Peach, French Vanilla and Peppermint. The sale runs through Dec. 23.

There is still time to order a SHS 2016-2017 yearbook. Just click on the link on the left hand side of the SHS website named “yearbook order form” and follow the prompts to order your student their book of memories.

Another Christmas is upon us, and as usual, at nine days to go, I am completely unprepared. But, somehow all the presents will get purchased and wrapped. All the cookies will be baked and all the cards sent out. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Let’s make 2017 a year to remember for all the good things that happen and we help to happen.
