Steven Rostow

Steven Rostow, 69, of Macungie, died Dec. 12, 2016, at his home. He was the husband of Laura Rostow. They were married 30 years in August. Born in Brooklyn, he was a son of the late Emanuel and Beatrice (Dortch) Rostow.

He worked in food service management for over 20 years at The Wood Company. Prior to that he owned the New London restaurant in Philadelphia and worked for ARA Food Corp.

He loved skiing and golf, but his true love was his family, especially his children and grandchildren. With his marriage to Laura, he was able to bring two families together as one and was always the consummate host to his guests, graciously making sure they were comfortable and well fed.

He is survived by his wife; daughter Ariel and her husband Matthew Franchak, of Enola; son, Thomas McKee and his wife Crystal, of Lansdale; grandchildren, Hunter and Kalli McKee and Joshua and Sofia Franchak; sisters, Bobbie McKenzie and Susan Jung; sister-in-laws, Caroline Peterson and Brooks Mullahy; brother-in-law, Gibbs Peterson.

Contributions may be made in his memory to Lehigh Valley Hospice, www.lvhn.org/giving.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
