Edward A. Lynch

Edward A. Lynch, Jr., 91, of Lower Milford Township, died Nov. 27, 2016, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Isabel (Gaither) who died Sept. 2, 2006. Born in New Castle, he was a son of the late Edward A. Sr. and Ellen C. (Lawler) Lynch.

He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Central Europe. After the war, he studied art at Biarritz American University, France.

He was a 1950 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Mass. He studied at the Baum School of Art for 10 years.

He was an industrial relations manager for Stanley Vidmar, Allentown/Williamsport.

He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

He is survived by children, Sarah S., of New York, N.Y. and Marisa L., of Towson, Md.; sibling, E. Anne Meehan, of Naples, Fla. and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Pauline Elliott, Catherine Sullivan and John H.

A private ceremony will be held at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. Hellertown.
