Dante F. Friendy, 51, of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Macungie, died Dec. 5, 2016, unexpectedly. Born in Hazleton, he was the son of Carole A. (DeBellis) Friendy and the late Ralph J. Friendy.
He attended Emmaus High School and graduated in 1982. He went on to college at the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford Campus and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from DeSales University, Center Valley. He worked at Mack Trucks, Inc., Allentown, for 26 years in the purchasing department as a department project manager and transferred to Volvo Trucks North America, Greensboro, N.C., in 2010 as a supplier delivery assurance and crisis manager.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.
His sense of humor and kindness were unmatched.
He is survived by his mother; stepfather, Tom Abraham; sisters, Daniele A. Shollenberger, of Zionsville and Shayna M. Tanzos, of Breinigsville; nephews, Brandon, Jarrett and Derrick Shollenberger; nieces, Kaitlin and Jillian Tanzos.
