Vincent L. Palumbo

Vincent L. Palumbo, 89, of Whitehall, died Dec. 9, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Katherine (Nicosia) Palumbo for 66 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Antonio and Edith (Atti) Palumbo.

He was a 1945 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He attended New York Military Academy and St. Bonaventure College.

He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a court crier at Lehigh County Court House until he took retirement. Previously, he had owned a beauty shop in Allentown.

He was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church.

He was part of the YMCA’s Silver Sneakers program.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert V. and his wife Patricia of Columbia, Md.; a daughter, Patricia of Santa Monica, Calif.; two brothers, Anthony of Allentown and Nicholas and his wife Jacqueline of Whitehall; seven grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Lauren, Justin, Rebecca, Sarah and Allison; and a great-grandson, Aiden Harrison Wright.

There will be a memorial Mass 10 a.m. Dec. 16 at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem.
