Thomas R. Davis, Jr., 50, of Allentown, died Dec. 6, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Doreen (Mayo) Davis. He was a truly amazing man who succumbed to his valiant battle against brain cancer. He would not let anyone feel sorry for him, nor did he wallow in self-pity. Throughout his illness he was the epitome of class, dignity, optimism and courage. He was the son of Diana Davis and the late Thomas R. Davis Sr., who died last year.
He started a career as a young man, working for William Mayo’s Roofing Co. and excelled through fortitude and determination to the status as a tech at Mayo Motors. His last tenure was as a master certified technician at Kelly Nissan, Easton.
He kept active with many projects and hobbies; but his niche was his multiple home improvement projects (building rooms, specialized paint techniques, plumbing, electrical wiring, etc.) Listening to rock and roll music was a favorite pastime, but playing guitar gave him the ultimate happiness. He enjoyed sports, most notably as an Eagles fan.
His greatest joy was his family. He was a dedicated and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Jennifer and her husband Chris Stolfi; sons, Joseph and Anthony; stepson, Joshua Barone; two grandchildren, Nate Stolfi and Anthony Davis, Jr., former wife, June Hellfrich Davis; sister, Missy Davis.
