EASTERN SALISBURY COLUMN HST holiday concert Dec. 15

Harry S Truman Elementary School will present its annual fourth and fifth grade band and chorus concert 2 p.m. Dec. 15. This is always a great performance. If you are able to attend, I highly recommend it! The snow date, should we need it, will be 2 p.m. Dec. 20.

Dec. 16 will be Heavenly Hats Day at HST. Students are encouraged to wear their favorite hat. They are asked to bring in any amount of change to donate to the Heavenly Hats Foundation. This foundation collects and distributes new hats to those who have lost their hair due to cancer or other medical conditions.

Dec. 17 will be the annual Salisbury High School Key Club holiday party for HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School students. Registration begins 9:30 a.m. and parent pick-up is noon. For more information, email khutchinson@salisburysd.org. This is a great opportunity for parents and guardians to finish their last minute shopping while the students participate in fun activities at the school.

HST will hold its annual holiday celebration parties Dec. 22. Look for more information to be sent home with your children regarding this fun day.

Dec. 22 is also the next HST T-shirt day. Make sure to wear your green leadership shirts.

Dec. 23 is the last day of school for 2016 for all Salisbury Township School District students. Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury High School will dismiss 12:15 p.m. while HST and WSE will dismiss 1 p.m. Schools will reopen Jan. 3, 2017.

December is flying by very quickly; I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
