Diane Levy Perry, 81, of Emmaus, died at home Dec. 11, 2016 from complications of dementia. Her husband, William H. Perry died in 2011.
The couple shared more than 50 years of marriage together until his death. Born in Reynoldsville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Julia (Redding) Levy.
She earned her master’s degree in human relations from Ohio State University in 1961, received her bachelor’s degree from Westminster College in 1957 and graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1953.
After raising her two sons, she had a long career in private practice psychology. She was certified as a clinical member of the International Transactional Analyst Society.
She enjoyed a great group of friends and was active in Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus, for many years.
She is survived by sons, William H. Jr. and his wife, Beverly, of Huntsville, Ala. and Dr. David M. and his wife, Susan, of Emmaus; grandchildren, Samuel, Steven, Max and Jake; brother, Sam Levy, of Punxsutawney; sister Ruth Jacobson, of Missoula, Mont. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Levy.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Dec. 19 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus.
