Suzanne P. Metzker, 53, from Macungie, died Nov. 30, 2016, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall.

Born March 17, 1963 in Reading, she was the daughter of Mary P. (Smith) Metzker, with whom she resided, and the late Deacon Daniel F. Metzker.

She was employed at Cedarbrook Nursing Home for the last 21 years.

Prior to that, she worked at the former Tyler Pipe, Macungie, for 14 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics program since her high school days, and in the “Best Buddies” program at Muhlenberg College.

In addition to her loving mother, she is survived by a sister, Dr. Mary C. Rutkowski of Center Valley; brothers David W. Metzker of Raleigh, N.C., Eric L. Metzker and his wife, Carol. of West Chester, Mark E. Metzker of Swoyersville; seven nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces.

She was predeceased by siblings Daniel F. and Ann Marie Metzker.
