Suzanne P. Metzker, 53, of Macungie, died Nov. 30, 2016, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Mary P. (Smith) with whom she resided and the late Deacon Daniel F. Metzker.

She was employed at Cedarbrook Nursing Home for the last 21 years. Prior to that, she worked at the former Tyler Pipe in Macungie for 14 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics program since her high school days and also the “Best Buddies” program at Muhlenberg College.

She is survived by her mother; sister, Dr. Mary C. Rutkowski, of Center Valley; brothers, David W., of Raleigh, N.C., Eric L. and his wife, Carol, of West Chester, Mark E., of Swoyersville; seven nieces and nephews; three great nieces. She was predeceased by siblings, Daniel F. and Ann Marie.
