Marilyn E. Bear, 79, of Montoursville, Lycoming County, died Nov. 25, 2016, in her home.

Born Aug. 28, 1937, in Schnecksville, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and Edna A. (Sauerwine) Bear.

She was employed at PPL Electric Utilities, Montoursville, for many years before retiring.

Prior to that, she was a school teacher.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville.
