Faye E. (Knauss) Wippel, 85, of Emmaus, formerly of Allentown, died peacefully Nov. 28, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Robert F. Wippel, Sr. who died in 2007. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Galliano) Knauss.

She was an employee of Aetna Insurance, retiring in 1993.

She was inducted into the Union Terrace Hall of Fame for her work with the Girl’s Athletic Program.

Her main focus was the commitment and love she had for her family.

She is survived by five children, Robert, Jr., Frank and his wife Judy, Denise and her husband Ronald Navarre, Steve and his wife Brenda and Mary Roberts; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie, Denise, Robert, Christopher and his wife Lisa, Gregory and Ciara, Jennifer and Allison Roberts and Lauren Navarre; four great-grandchildren, Reiss, Tatum, Bronson and Rebecca. She was predeceased by a brother, Peter and grandson, James.

Contributions may be made to St. John Vianney School, Allentown Catholic Charities or Emmaus High School Girl’s Basketball/Softball Program.
